The New Arts Foundation is excited to present "Air Conditioning," a group art exhibition, performance, and screening series that explores the critical possibilities of worldbuilding. How can we reformulate the "real" and built from it? Where can our fantasies mesh with the everyday? With a deliberate emphasis on play, imagination, mutual presence, and shared action, "Air Conditioning" encourages a sense of collective agency.
The show is curated by Greg Jenkins, and includes work by Ross Edward Doyle, Siena Foster-Soltis, ann haeyoung, Max Harper, Vanessa Holyoak & Antoine Chesnais, Christine Yerie Lee, Catherine Menard, Antonio Okun, Liz Quezada-Lee, malavika rao, Punitive Worm (directed by Nikki Ochoa), Yanbin Zhao, and Zengyi Zhao. There is an additional film screening the night before the opening programmed by Advik Beni, including work by Gavati, Manaka Nagai & Kaori Takahashi, abbi page, Rob Rice, Linx Fong Selby, and Seokyoung Yang.
"Air Conditioning" takes place at the historic Great Hall complex in West Hollywood's Plummer Park (1200 N Vista St, West Hollywood, CA 90046).
The opening on Saturday, October 14th from 5p-9p will include live performance.
