Modern Extremes: Bright & Cheery, Dark & Dirty
Talented Mixed media artist, Julie Lipa and Abstract painter, Bente Christensen showcase their unique and contrasting styles of the "mid-century" modern period with wildly different interpretations. Julie's mixed media works include actual 60's airplane windows and with 3D imagery that harken back to the dark and hypocrisy of womens roles during that period. Bente's abstract paintings conjures up the free spirited and carefree movement Picasso explored in his 1949 "Light Drawings" which was featured in Life Magazine.
