New Stone Works by Marcus Harris Sculpture

A&D Gallery presents new stone works by Marcus Harris.

Marcus Harris is a London based artist whose practice encompasses different mediums, and who presents his most personal work to date with his new stone sculptures.

Drawing on memories of walking amongst the then deserted stone blocks in the Egypt of his formative years, and on a family background that oscillates between the artistic and the academic, the works are an expression of both the intuitive and the intellectual amalgamation of the organic, cerebral and metaphysical.

Having sought to expose the interplay of people and space, time and place, thought and emotion in the humanitarian narratives of his previous photographic collections, this new body of work further condenses questions about inner identity, emotion and reaction to our individual place in momentary as well as historical dimensions.
